"Learn and Master the Uniform Commercial Code Seminars" - The Uniform Commercial Code ("UCC"), governs the sales, leases, transport, storage and financing of goods throughout the United States. Payment systems employed in these transactions, and in commercial transactions generally ( e.g., mortgages and services) are also within the purview of the UCC. These payment systems include negotiable instruments such as promissory notes and checks, electronic funds transfers, letters of credit, and bank deposits and collections. Over twenty years in its drafting, the UCC has been described by its Associate Chief Reporter as 'the most ambitious codification in the Anglo American legal world.' Learn and Master the Uniform Commercial Code Seminars--two stand alone half day seminars, or one full day seminar--provide attendees with a solid working knowledge of the meaning of the text of the UCC, as well as methods to maximize clients’ interests in drafting legal documents; identification of benchmarks for notice and compliance, and a clear understanding of the commercial policies embodied in the UCC, and how to use these policies to facilitate sound litigation strategies. Attendees receive a copy of The Uniform Commercial Code Made Easy and extensive seminar outlines.
