Last August, a coalition led by the American Bar Association released a comprehensive report entitled, The Path to Lawyer Well-Being: Practical Recommendations for Positive Change, aimed at addressing substance abuse and mental health challenges that lawyers all too frequently encounter. Notably, two of the report’s key areas of emphasis were directly related to our work in CLE:

  • Emphasizing that well-being is an indispensable part of a lawyer’s duty of competence.
  • Educating lawyers, judges and law students on lawyer well-being issues.

If you want to learn more about how to develop engaging, effective programs that will fulfill this mandate — and may even have a chance to produce real change for lawyers — you won’t want to miss our Mid-Year Meeting in San Antonio! We’ll start Sunday morning by learning how the US Army managed to completely change its culture by integrating resilience training into basic training for all soldiers. And we’ll follow that up with breakout sessions devoted to practical ways to build wellness and resilience training into CLE programming, as well as your own organizations.

Come join us in San Antonio as we tackle this important topic. The time you spend with ACLEA atttendees is sure to yield practical benefits for your organization and the lawyers you serve.

Register for the Mid-Year Today!
