Hello, ACLEA Programming SIG members!

Based on your input and requests, we’re inviting all SIG Programming members to join us for a Program Incubation Call (yup, that’s what we mean by “PIC”): a 60 minute (max) “brown bag lunch”-type conference call (that basically means you can eat while you listen, as long as you mute your microphone and promise not to talk with your mouth full!).

Location: Teleconference: 1+855.392.2520; (US/Canada), Participant code 380 1452#
Contact the ACLEA office for international call in numbers.

Cost: FREE for ACLEA Members
Join us by phone June 5 at 11:00 CDT/12:00pm EDT to learn from ACLEA’s most creative and innovative minds (and contribute in your capacity as one of them!) as we consider:

1. Multi-generational diversity: baby boomers, generation X, millennials, generation Z

  1. Should we have different messaging in our marketing to target different generations?
  2. How do we ensure an appropriate ROI if we invest in different brochures, emails and postcards aimed at different markets?
  3. How do we tailor our programming to maximize attendance for all ages, races, ethnicities and backgrounds?

2. Collaboration with outside organizations, such as bar associations and trade organizations

  1. How to revenue share
  2. How to resolve organizational cultural differences
  3. How to resolve barriers to collaboration

3. Wellness/Stress/Mental Health

  1. Is there a disconnect between millennials’ general emphasis on self-care and baby boomers’ general focus on “work your fingers to the bone” work ethic? (Relates to #1)

4. How best to deal with significant changes to the law

  1. Timing, both in anticipation of the change and after
  2. When does the change run out of steam from a revenue perspective?
  3. Example: legalization of marijuana in many states
