Final Report from Critical Issues Summit Now Available
Untitled Document

On October 15 through 17, 2009, American Law Institute-American Bar Association Continuing Professional Education (ALI-ABA) and the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) presented a summit on critical issues facing continuing legal education providers, law schools, and the legal profession in equipping today's legal practitioners. This high-level invitational conference, which took place in Scottsdale, Arizona, called together CLE professionals, law practitioners, bar leaders, judges, law professors, mandatory CLE administrators, law firm educators, and other experts on lawyer professional education to study and respond to these challenges.

This milestone summit generated a series of recommendations for lawyer professional education. The Final Recommendations, plus additional Summit-related materials, are available in the Final Report of the Summit.
